The Churches of Christ in Christian Union invites ministers, delegates, ministry leaders, and members from across the denomination to gather for the 2026 General Council. General Council will be held June 29-30, 2026, at Ohio Christian University. A full downloadable schedule is available below.

General Council serves as the highest deliberative gathering of our denomination, bringing together representatives from local churches and ministries to conduct business, receive reports, celebrate victories, and seek God's direction for the future. It is a time when the CCCU family unites around our shared mission of making disciples, advancing holiness, and proclaiming the gospel around the world.

Throughout the gathering, attendees will hear inspiring reports from district and departmental leaders, celebrate the faithfulness of God in local churches and mission fields, and participate in decisions that help shape the future ministry of The Churches of Christ in Christian Union. Special worship services, fellowship opportunities, and times of prayer will encourage and strengthen all who attend.

The 2026 General Council will also provide opportunities to learn more about the denomination's expanding ministries, including church planting, missions, ministerial development, and more. Delegates and guests alike will be challenged to deepen their commitment to Christ and to the Great Commission.

Per the CCCU Constitution and Bylaws, General Council voting privileges are extended to the following:

  • All general council officers (if you serve on a board or committee on the General level)
  • All district council officers (if you serve on a board or committee on the District level)
  • All pastors of member churches
  • All other ordained ministers
  • All regularly appointed and fully commissioned missionaries whose membership is in a CCCU local church
  • Other officers and boards whose scope of authority shall be determined by reason of their office or by any authority delegated them by the corporate organization
  • Any minister from other denominations with the Global Wesleyan Alliance or denominations of Wesleyan-Arminian doctrine while serving a Church of Christ in Christian Union congregation. (This pertains to only senior/lead pastor).

Whether you are a minister, delegate, ministry leader, church member, or guest, your presence will contribute to the unity and effectiveness of our denomination. Together we will celebrate God's blessings, seek His wisdom, and renew our commitment to carrying the message of hope and holiness to our communities and around the world.

Please begin praying now for God's guidance, protection, and blessing upon the 2026 General Council. Make plans to join us as we gather as one family in Christ, celebrating His faithfulness and looking forward to all He has in store for The Churches of Christ in Christian Union.
