Our denomination is active in spreading the good news around the world through our partnership with World Gospel Mission. Our missionaries are currently serving the fields of Bolivia, St. Croix, Honduras, El Salvador, Paraguay, Uganda, Kenya and Papua New Guinea as well as ministering to the American Indians.

GENERAL MISSIONARY SUPERINTENDENT

Dr. David Lattimer is our General Missionary Superintendent, and has served in this capacity since July 1, 1995. From 1996 to 2003 he and his wife, Myrla, also served as International Pastors to the missionaries of World Gospel Mission serving in nine countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. Prior to this Dr. Lattimer served on faculty and staff at Ohio Christian University (formerly Circleville Bible College) for 25 years. He earned his Doctor of Missiology at Asbury Theological Seminary and has pastored three churches.

His current term of office expires in August, 2008. His responsibilities are to promote world missions in our CCCU churches, recruit new missionaries and raise support for CCCU missionaries.

Our Missionaries

The missionary history of the CCCU goes back to our first missionary, Mary Johnson, who went to India in 1929 and served with World Gospel Mission.

We have career missionaries serving nine fields - the American Indian Field, Bolivia, Honduras, Kenya, El Salvador, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Uganda and St. Croix.

We also have three couples who are Missionary Disciples committed to two years of ministry on the American Indian Field and in Papua New Guinea and Uganda.

Partnership with World Gospel Mission

Since September, 1996, our department has been in a partnership with World Gospel Mission that makes all our CCCU missionaries WGM missionaries. WGM is headquartered in Marion, Indiana, and has approximately 230 missionaries serving on various fields.
